What ways can users gain value from reclaimed and surplus construction materials instead of throwing them away?

• Sell materials for cash: Register an account and post materials on Orbit for no charge. You will coordinate directly with buyers who message you through the platform to sell materials for cash and arrange pick up/delivery.
• Giveaway materials for free and save on hauling and dumping costs: By listing free materials on Orbit, you can get rid of materials quickly and save on hauling and dumping costs.
• Tax Write-offs for Donations: Orbit works with a network of non-profit partners who can provide a tax receipt for donated materials. Search for “Non-profits accepting donations” in our Services Database and reach out to them directly, or email contact@orbitexchange.cocontact[at]@[dot]orbitexchange.co and we can connect you with the best partner in your region for the materials you’re trying to donate.

Why add my business to Orbit’s Services Database?

If you’re a business in the circular construction sector (ie contractor, salvage company, material reseller), you can also create a free listing in Orbit’s services database. Users can find you when searching for partners, contractors or service providers knowledgeable in construction, deconstruction, repair and reuse.

Where is Orbit active?

Users are able to buy, sell, and donate material anywhere in the US. At launch, we’re focusing on developing the circular construction sector in New York City, and then plan to expand our services and reach from there.

How does Orbit make money?

We are currently validating our proof-of-concept and working with a variety of users to find the most efficient way to sell, giveaway or donate materials. In the future, we will be adding fees to our platform. We are committed to being an affordable solution for our users.
